The MyWatch chairman Sri Sanjeevan's conditioned worsened yesterday and he has been transferred to Serdang hospital.
SEREMBAN: The condition of crime watchdog MyWatch chairman R Sri Sanjeevan, who was shot on Saturday, has worsened due to an internal bleeding, said his father, R. Ramakrishnan.
According to doctors who treated Sanjeevan at the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital, the shooting affected his heart and lungs, said Ramakrishnan.
“We’ve tried to whisper in his ear, but he didn’t give any response and remained unconscious,” he said when met at the hospital here, yesterday.
Ramakrishnan, 64, said his son had to be transferred to the Serdang Hospital, Selangor as there were no surgeons who could perform a surgery to remove a bullet from his rib cage.
Sanjeevan, 29, a hotel executive, was admitted to the Jempol Hospital shortly after he was shot in a drive-by murder attempt by two men at a traffic light junction at Taman Cempaka, Bahau at about 4.30pm on Saturday.
Ramakrishnan, who stood vigil with his wife and three children at the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital since Saturday night, expressed his disappointment over the delay by doctors in performing a surgery on his son, who was also having a fever.
Meanwhile, the victim’s brother, Sri Mohanadass said his brother was supposed to have left for Brunei yesterday on personal matters and expected to return to the family home in Kampung Taman Jaya, Bahau in a few days’ time.
Sanjeevan, who lives in Kuala Lumpur, returned to the family home at 7am on Saturday and left home to see a friend after lunch, said Mohanadass, adding that soon after he received a call his brother was shot by assailants.
