Pakatan files motion against Simpang Reggam MP
Pakatan Rakyat filed a motion seeking to refer Simpang Renggam MP Liang Teck Meng to the House committee of rights and privileges yesterday evening.
DAP's Jelutong MP Jeff Ooi (left) filed the motion to Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia at 4pm yesterday with the support of other Pakatan representatives.
However, they have not received any response as yet from Pandikar regarding the motion.
Liang incurred the ire of Pakatan MPs after he alleged Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim as having 20 foreign bank accounts, including in Israel while debating the royal address on Tuesday.
He claimed that the information of accounts were based on a Wikileaks cable, but Pakatan has since said that Wikileaks does not have any such entry.
Liang has stood by his allegations but Pakatan have accused him of hiding behind the house immunity.
