Photofit out for KJ's burglars, but not for Dhamendran case?
A DAP MP has urged the police not to practise double standards in releasing photofits of suspects in criminal cases.
Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng said today that despite his requests, the police are yet to release the picture of the fourth police officer suspected to be involved in custodial death of N Dhamendran.
This, Lim (right) said, was clear contradiction with the swift action police took in releasing photofits of suspects who broke into the house of Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin recently.
"I urge the police to take same action in the Dhamendran's case," he said.
Police have said that a fourth police officer, with the rank of inspector they are seeking for involvement in Dhamendran's death, has gone into hiding.
However, the authorities are yet to release a photograph of this police officer.
"He (the officer) might be carrying a gun. We from the public want to know who he is, so that we can run away when we see him. He could be dangerous," Lim told a press conference at the Parliament lobby today.
