SEREMBAN - Negri Sembilan Islamic Religious Affairs Department (JHEAINS) vehicles were damaged this morning by operators of several premises in Tampin following a raid on their outlets for allegedly supporting immoral activities on Saturday night.
The nine operators were also alleged to have shouted profanities at some of the 20 enforcement officers.
JHEAINS Enforcement Division chief of operations Ahmad Zaki Hamzah said the men slashed the tyres and scratched the vehicles of the enforcement officers and also punctured two tyres of a four-wheeler belonging to the department.
"The men confronted several of our enforcement officers and told them they were unhappy with the operation," he said.
The department lodged a police report over the incident.
In the raid, the officers arrested three Muslim couples suspected of committing khalwat (close proximity). – Bernama
