KOTA KINABALU - MCA deputy president Datuk Wee Ka Siong did not urge Seputeh Member of Parliament Teresa Kok to apologise for the 'Onederful Malaysia CNY 2014' video clip.
Wee said he asked Kok to be more sensitive and mature in discussing issues in public as practised by the Chinese and the Muslims who asked for forgiveness during Aidilfitri.
Bernama had reported that Wee had urged Kok to apologise for the video clip at a Chinese New Year dinner organised by Sabah MCA on Sunday.
The video clip spread via YouTube showed Kok addressing guests at a function and chiding the government over several issues including the security in Sabah.- Bernama
Pic below shows blatant insult to the Chinese but MCA deputy president Wee had zoomed in on Teresa, not the Malay-Muslim NGO protesters who said in their banner the Chinese were descended from the 'kangkung' or water spinach vegetable. Both MCA and Umno have tried to boomerang the rowdy protest back onto the Opposition by claiming that Teresa's video was anti-Malay and anti-Muslim, ignoring the blatant and seditious insults hurled by the Malay-Muslim NGOs. - Malaysia Chronicle
