Have you ever tried to kill a rat after catching it with a mousetrap? It is not that easy and straight forward thing to do. Even it is only a small living thing and a pest; ordinary people would not have the heart to kill that rat. Some people would simply drown the rat while it is still in the cage, but would never have the heart to watch it die drowning. You need to have some very negative feelings; a motivation to enable you to complete the task of drowning the rat!

It is much more difficult to kill a human being. For a non-intentional murder to be committed, there need to be some “very out of control outrage” at the spur of the moment when you are not your ordinary self for it to happen. There is a reason for it to happen. Even for a professional killer, there has to be a reason; a strong motivation for him or her to do it - money or even psychotic pleasure.

Hidden hands

In the case of Altantuya Shaariibuu it is a bit complex because the two murderers Azilah Hadri and Sirul Umar Azhar had no reason of their own to kill her. More so when she was a women, a beauty, may be pregnant and pleading for her life to be spared! It would be almost impossible to kill when there is no valid reason for her to die because she has done nothing wrong to any of them! Yet they completed the task without any second thought, confidently like professionals.

They must have been given a lot of assurance, motivation and must had been planned involving several highly convincing and powerful people; a close knit group to do it. They were guaranteed that everything had been taken care of, and every aspect of the plan would make it a perfect crime, just do as instructed. Yes, the moves taken by the two murders were executed as instructed! On top of that Sirul admitted in court that they were also paid for their part in executing the plan!

So who are those people involved in the pre-meditated murder of Altantuya Shaarribuu?

There was no serious effort to get down to the bottom of the murder as it would be so easy to find out by simply asking the duo in court; ask Sirul who paid them? Unfortunately it was an anti-climax in the court hearing that this most important question was not asked! Solving this murder should have been as easy as A, B and C.

The only conclusion one can make it that there are some very high level people involved that prevented the authorities to conclude the case. There must be a cover up for someone very, very important that has got so much to lose!

When the Court of Appeal freed the duo on the murder charge, it was indeed very foolish for the court to come to that decision because the evidence was overwhelming and they admitted to the crime. It was mind boggling, it did not make sense. This could not be acceptable in the point of justice. Thus it is only prudent for the Federal Court to reinstate the guilty verdict.

Assassins hired to kill assassins

What if the duo is willing to tell everything? After all they have got nothing to lose; they are going to die anyway. The duo now realized that there is a limit to what their masters could do. The crime was not perfect after all. Their guarantee was simply bullshit!

The High Court verdict has indeed sent shivers to the spines of the wrong doers! Sure, those in power could beg to the Sultan of Selangor to pardon them, or reduce the sentence to life imprisonment, but for what? Since everything has gone awry and in the open, the whole thing will keep haunting all of them; the murders and the perpetrators. And there is always the risk of any one of the duo to tell all as long as they are alive.

But, have you seen movies where another assassin was hired to kill the first assassin? In the case of Altantuya, it could be for real. In all eventualities, the duo must die. The verdict by the High Court is what the perpetrators are waiting for. The duo would not be given the chance to tell anybody about the murder of Altantuya.

Based on his testimony in court of being paid to commit the murder, Sirul Umar Azhar is more vulnerable to talk between the two and he must have sensed it coming and bolted away.
