KUALA LUMPUR: 1MDB has informed in a statement that the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) hearings scheduled for 4 to 6 and 17 and 18 August have been postponed to a date to be determined later, according to a notification received from the Dewan Rakyat Secretary.
The company, which had earlier missed scheduled hearings, reiterated in the statement “our intention to extend our full co-operation to the PAC and look forward to appearing before the committee on new dates”.
“We have confidence that the bi-partisan committee presents a fair opportunity for 1MDB to explain the company’s position, to a lawful authority, as per the requirements of due process,” said the company in the statement.
“1MDB respects the PAC as the lawful authority and the appropriate forum for questions on it to be asked and answered.”
