KUALA LUMPUR: Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) Berhad through the KTM Intercity will introduce the Peninsular Express Train service from Johor Baru Sentral to Hat Yai in Thailand from Sept 1.
Before this service, KTM was also serving the KL Sentral to Hat Yai sector.
KTM in a statement said the service offered would involve two ticket prices, RM82 (sleeping coach) and RM70 (seats).
“The Peninsular Express Train will pass through all 34 stations, except Bukit Mertajam and Butterworth,” said the statement.
KTM has already introduced the Electric Train Service (ETS) from Kuala Lumpur Sentral to Butterworth at RM59.
“ETS leaves Butterworth at 7am and arrives in KL at 10.50am while another service starts from KL Sentral at 8pm and reaches Butterworth at 11.55pm,” said the statement.
