It has been manipulated to tarnish his name and that of the government, says Higher Education Minister.
PUTRAJAYA: Higher Education Minister Idris Jusoh has denied having said that the people should not send their children to government schools if they were against the Barisan Nasional (BN) government.
“I have never issued a statement with such a sentiment,” he said today.
Idris said what he said was “If there are people who say the system is not good and want to send children abroad, we have no objection, but I will ensure our education system will be further improved”.
He believed his statement had been manipulated by a news portal with the aim of tarnishing his name, the Education Ministry and the government.
