'IF SHE'S IN S'PORE, ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOOSE': AG mum on sacked 1MDB probe officer's deportation, SAFETY
PETALING JAYA - Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali said Singaporean legal officer Jessica Gurmeet Kaur’s work contract has been terminated in accordance with her terms of service.
“Jessica Kaur was a contract officer and her contract of service was terminated as per the terms of the contract.
“That is all I can say at the moment. No further comment,” Apandi said when contacted.
News of Jessica’s sacking from the Attorney-General’s Chambers has created a buzz from Thursday night after sources familiar with her revealed that she had been sacked out of the blue.
Asked whether Jessica is in Singapore now, they just said it was better to keep Jessica here because “if she is in Singapore, all hell will break loose”.
All hell to break loose affidavit?
A lawyer has noted that Jessica would not be subjected to preventive Malaysian laws such as the Official Secrets Act once she is out of the country.
Jessica and her lawyers are expected to apply for a judicial review with a tell-all affidavit on why the authorities are bent on terminating her work contract at the, Chambers and revoke her permanent residency (PR).
The judicial review will challenge her sacking, summary cancellation of her PR and alleged forced deportation from Malaysia.
Jessica has been living in Malaysia for over 20 years before the sudden turn of events, which started with investigations by the authorities on her and former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission adviser Tan Sri Rashpal Singh over a purported leak in relation to a charge sheet.

Jessica was then the head of administration and finance at the Chambers and was also attached to the Special Task Force investigating various financial cases. The Task Force has since been disbanded.
Jessica and Rashpal were released by police on bail after their statements had been recorded.
Jessica’s bail is said to have been revoked last week.
On Thursday night, photos of immigration personnel waiting outside a condominium in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, where Jessica has been staying, were circulated on the Internet.  - ANN
