Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) head Abu Kassim Mohamed has vowed to continue probing SRC International Sdn Bhd as long as he heads the commission.
He said this when met by reporters after being discharged from the Ramsay Sime Darby Medical Centre in Petaling Jaya today, according to Sin Chew Daily's website.
Abu Kassim underwent surgery on August 7 to remedy a back problem.
He is on medical leave until October. For now, his deputy Mustafar Ali is the de facto MACC boss.
Abu Kassim's assurance on MACC's commitment towards probing SRC International is significant due to the recent dismantling of the special task force probing 1MDB and the change of a new attorney-general.
SRC International has been accused of channeling RM42 million into Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's bank account.
Najib has not denied this.
It has also been established that Najib was the recipient of about RM2.6 billion in "donations" from the Middle East. - M'kini
