In a statement today, Azmin criticised the police's interrogation of MACC officers over an alleged leak in the 1MDB probe by a special task force that included the anti-graft body.
"Under Section 48 of the MACC Act, it is a criminal offence for anyone to obstruct an investigation by the MACC," he said.
"There is no doubt that these acts by the police represent a gross interference and must be stopped without any undue delay," he added.
The MACC on Monday announced that the RM2.6 billion channelled into Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's accounts was from political donations and not from 1MDB.
The announcement came after a series of raids by the police on MACC offices over the alleged leak in the probe.
"Since the sacking of the Deputy Prime Minister and the sudden removal of the AG last week, we have witnessed one event after another which clearly points to a conspiracy to neutralise the 1MDB investigations," he added.
He said that both the special task force and the PAC "appear to be halted" in its investigations into 1MDB.
"These acts of harassment, intimidation and detention are clearly aimed at obstructing the smooth progress of the investigations," he added.
