Deputy Home Minister Nur Jazlan Mohamed says the social networking sites should be used wisely for the benefit of everyone.
KUALA LUMPUR :The public has been urged to make use of the social media as a platform to channel information on criminal activities to the police.
Deputy Home Minister Nur Jazlan Mohamed said the social networking sites should be used wisely for the benefit of everyone.
“With the use of social media to assist the police, criminal activities can be uncovered much faster for police action and I am sure the police will be able to monitor criminal activities better, he told a press conference at Bukit Aman police headquarters here today.
Also present was another newly appointed Deputy Home Minister, Masir Kujat and Deputy Inspector-General of Police Noor Rashid Ibrahim.
Nur Jazlan also commented on the close rapport established between the media and the police which was considered vital in addressing criminal problems in the country.
Earlier Nur Jazlan and Masir made their first working visit to Bukit Aman police headquarters and were briefed on the organisational structure of the police force by Noor Rashid.
