The Petaling Jaya Utara MP said Najib's actions is a threat to the country and can be deemed as an attempt to compromise with foreign agents.
"The person who should be investigated for activities detrimental to democracy is Najib. Why? Because even the Tourism Minister admits the RM2.6 billion is a donation from a Middle East country," he said in referring to Tourism and Culture minister Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz.
"We have a political party in Malaysia who won the general election in May 2013 with funds from foreign government. Isn't that a threat to our country.
"Does that not mean Najib had compromised with agents of foreign nations?
"RM2.6 billion from foreign countries and because of that, he won the general election, causing us now to suffer under his administration," Pua said addressing a 3,000-strong crowd at DAP's fundraising dinner in Petaling Jaya last night while attired in a prisoners outfit to protest the Immigration Department's decision to bar him from travelling overseas.
The DAP national publicity secretary said with the RM2.6 billion funds utilised by Najib to face the 13th general election, it was not surprising that the opposition could not defeat Barisan Nasional.
He said Najib cannot declare himself free from wrongdoing with regards to the RM2.6 billion because the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has not even summoned the prime minister for an explanation.
"With the RM2.6 billion, it is not surprising that PR lost in the last general election," he said in referring to the now defunct opposition pact, Pakatan Rakyat.
"How to win with RM2.6 billion? Although with RM2.6 billion utilised, PR can still obtain nearly 53% of votes. Not bad.
"We now urge Najib to voluntarily be present at the MACC office to clear his name. Don't wait. Quickly go to MACC, it's just next door.
"Go to MACC and explain where did the fund comes from, and if it is linked to 1Malaysia Development Berhad."
Pua's choice of costume was also a hit with those present, and he said he donned it to show Najib the difficulties of political parties and members have during fund raising activities for the party to conduct its activities.
"Last year at a fundraising function, I spoke on 1MDB and as a reward, I became the first MP to be sued by the prime minister for slander.
"My lawyer had last week advised me to be careful with my words because if I raise the 1MDB issue again, I will be arrested and jailed.
"(Tonight), I am ready to be arrested. No need to change, can go straight to lock-up. But the truth needed to be told and Malaysians have to tell we are not afraid," he said, adding that it has been a norm for him to explain about 1MDB at DAP events.
