KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara Governor Tan Sri Zeti Akthar Aziz (pix) has quelled speculation that she may be resigning.
“I certainly will remain in office until my term ends. It’s a five-year term and my term ends next year,” she told the press at a briefing at Bank Negara on Thurday morning.
When asked if she intended to remain in her current position beyond the expiration of the term she replied: "Right now, I'd say I'd like to write a book upon my retirement."
"I would have been in office for 16 years and also completed 35 years of service to Bank Negara and the country. I believe Bank Negara Malaysia is a solid institution and will go on to greater heights," said Zeti. Star
