It appears that anyone who questions, grills or condemns 1MDB is immediately shot down. Either the prophets of doom are chastised with hard hitting rebuttals or they are hauled up under SOSMA or their dirty linen is sniffed out and washed in public.
Tun Dr Mahathir has now become the latest whipping horse of all those sworn to back the Bugis-warrior prime minister of Malaysia.
A minister has, as reported today, used very harsh words to rebut. And the strategy is to howl how bad a leader he was. To make the Tun look every inch the evil Rasputin seems to be the strategy taken against the Tun for his unwavering attacks on Najib over the 1MDB fiasco.
And the loyalists-cyber troopers too come out raining uncomprehending blows on the Tun over how he administered the country during his 22-years of iron-grip on the nation.
Let us be logical here.
Rebutting by citing all kinds of examples of how bad the Tun was when he was the prime minister does not mean two things, namely:
Firstly, if the Tun was bad, it does not give others who came after him reasons to remain bad – whether less or more.
Secondly, exposing the Tun’s seemingly wicked agendas during his premiership does not mean that 1MDB’s scandals and suspicions can therefore be absolved.
There is also another defining truth that the critics of Tun Dr Mahathir choose to be ignorant about. They were in office or at the least aggressively plotting their political careers during the time of the Tun. Why did they not disagree, protest or resign to demonstrate their displeasure with the Tun’s decisions and actions then?
Hence, those who want to condemn the man for his vocal criticisms against and concerns over the 1MDB and Najib’s administration, need to be told that their rebuttals and train of arguments are actually making 1MDB and Najib look even guiltier rather than be absolved of crime.
In fact all the substandard rebuttals are not even gaining any traction among netizens. The man in the street – be it a street vendor, a businessman or a corporate executive, they are all sneering and shaking their heads at the low IQ rebuttals.
All these then mean only two things, namely:
The Bugis war ship is filled with incompetent oarsmen and / or the amount of dirty works beneath the Umno-BN warship is monumental which explains why they are fighting filth with filth.
