Six highway rest areas closed over four days

Only petrol stations open, all stalls and public amenities closed.

KUALA LUMPUR: Six rest areas and lay-bys along the North-South Highway will be closed over four days from Monday for maintenance works. Only petrol stations would be open, while all stalls and public amenities would be closed, highway operator Plus said in a statement.

The closures are at:

• Oct 19 – northbound: Tapah (8am – 5pm).
• Oct 20 – northbound: Ayer Keroh (9am-4pm), Simpang Pulai (9am-5pm), Rawang (9am-6pm); southbound: Taiping (7am-5pm), Tapah (8am-5pm), Pagoh (9am-4pm)
• Oct 21 – southbound: Pagoh (9am-4pm); southbound: Taiping (7am-5pm), Tapah (8am-5pm), Sg Buloh (9.30am-5pm).
• Oct 22 – northbound: Taiping (7am-5pm); southbound: Simpang Pulai (8am-5pm), Ayer Keroh (9am-4pm).
