Former information minister Zainuddin Maidin is unpertrubed by claims that he is among the seven at risk of suspension from Umno in the ongoing party leadership crisis.
"I have no issues. I have no problem if they want to suspend me or break me. I have no interests in Umno. I won't lose anything even if I quit," Zainuddin said.
Zainuddin, better known as Zam, also snidely thanked those who allegedly put him on the watch list for giving him undue prominence.
"I am not sad or offended. I did nothing for Umno," he said.
Even so, he said, he has deep understanding of Umno, having once been group editor of the Umno-owned daily Utusan Malaysia.
Zainuddin was among the seven said to be monitoried, besides former Umno president Dr Mahathir Mohamad, deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin and vice-president Shafie Apdal, The Malaysian Insider reported.
Others on the list are former Kedah menteri besar Sanusi Junid, Cheras Umno chief Syed Ali Alhabshee and Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Mohd Yunos.
The portal said the secretary-general is still determining their exact offence under the party constitution, before taking the matter to the disciplinary committee.

Umno secretary-general Tengku Adnan Mansor, when asked last month whether action would be taken against Mahathir, said seven party leaders were being monitored.
Tengku Adnan declined to comment on further developments when met in Parliament this morning.
Zainuddin said he did not receive any official correspondence on the matter but was ready to face a disciplinary hearing.
"I want to hear (the charge). I have no concerns whatsoever," he said when asked. - M'kini
