PAS today sacked former vice-president Husam Musa after finding that his actions had breached the party constitution.
Its disciplinary committee said the decision to sack Husam was made after considering the case from all aspects and taking into account party interests and complications that Husam's actions had caused.
The committee, which sat on April 23, found that Husam had resorted to actions that went against the party constitution.
"Hence the committee unanimously decided to take disciplinary action to sack Husam from the party, effective April 23," said the committee's chairperson Dr Sanusi Daeng Mariok.
Sanusi said the dismissal was based on Article 82 (6)(d) of the party constitution (Amended 2011).
Husam, who was a protege of late PAS spiritual adviser Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, was referred to the committee for challenging and criticising party president Abdul Hadi Awang.
