Bills passed: Sabah to get additional 13 state seats in next polls


The Sabah state assembly has passed two bills which will lead to an increase in the number of state constituencies from 60 to 73, reported Bernama.
According to another news report, of the 55 assemblypersons who voted, only three - Dr Roland Chia (Inamam), Terrence Siambun (Moyog) and Chan Foong Hin (Sri Tanjung) - opposed.
Likas assemblyperson Junz Wong abstained while Lahad Datu assemblyperson Mohd Yusof Apdal was absent during the voting, said the Malay Mail Online.
The last re-delineation exercise for Sabah was in 2003.
