"Any Mara student who participates in illegal rallies will face action," he told reporters after attending the ministry's Merdeka Day celebration programme at the Maktab Rendah Sains Mara Pengkalan Chepa in Kota Baru today.
On the celebration programme, Ismail Sabri said it would boost the spirit of the celebrations for more than 500,000 of the ministry's staff, including those from its departments, agencies and organisations.
He said the programme was conducted nationwide today, involving 40 Urban Transformation Centres, as well as Mara students overseas.
Also present was his deputy, Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub.
