SOROS GOT TRUMPED

Najib’s ‘Boffin Boys’ knew that Trump was going to win the US Presidency. And once that happens the US Attorney General would be looking for a new job. That was why they advised Najib to keep cool regarding the US DoJ announcement of July and to hold back the appointment of the new Malaysian Ambassador to the US until the end of the year. Basically, Najib trumped Soros.

Trump: surpass by saying or doing something better, outshine, outclass, upstage, put in the shade, eclipse, outdo, outperform; beat, do/be better than, better, be a cut above, be head and shoulders above, leave standing, walk away from, knock spots off, out-rival, out-vie.

The ANC (Anti-Najib Campaign) was so excited when in July this year the United States Attorney-General, Loretta E. Lynch, and the US Justice Department (DoJ) held a press conference to announce its action against 1MDB. Many started popping champagne thinking that Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak was a dead man walking.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had been working on this for a year or so. That was why Khairuddin Abu Hassan and Matthias Chang made trips to the US together with Zeti Akhtar Aziz (the Bank Negara Governor), Abdul Gani Patail (the Attorney General) and Abu Kassim Mohamed (the head of the MACC).

They knew that the US Attorney General’s and US Justice Department’s press conference would not go beyond mere talk. But then this is politics and politics is a game of perception. So all they need to do is to create the perception that Najib is going to suffer the fate of Manuel Noriega of Panama. That is good enough and that is what the main gameplan was.

The opposition and anti-Najib forces were elated. Mahathir even said that Najib will never dare leave Malaysia because if he did he would be arrested and would be sent to the US to stand trial. How can Najib be arrested when he has not been charged for anything and there is no arrest warrant out on him? In fact, the US Attorney General and the US Justice Department did not even mention Najib by name in their press conference.

But then this is how the perception game is played. They create perceptions by suggesting and insinuating and by playing with innuendoes. From the very start the 1MDB issue was merely a game of perception. “RM42 billion of 1MDB’s money has disappeared into thin air,” screamed Mahathir. “Maybe even RM50 billion or more has disappeared into thin air. And RM2.6 billion or maybe even RM4 billion of that has been transferred into Najib’s personal bank account.”

This was the mantra since 2014. In reality, 1MDB’s assets exceeded its liabilities by RM9 billion and the money that went into Najib’s account was a donation from Arabs. And they sabotaged the IPO that 1MDB was working on. They blocked all bank loans to 1MDB. They fabricated documents and gave these co-called ‘evidence’ to the journalists and bloggers in Malaysia and overseas — journalists and bloggers who they had spent hundreds of millions to bribe (yes, don’t be surprised, white skins can also be bribed).

They were using everything, even the kitchen sink, to throw at Najib — because the more they can throw at him the more they can make him look guilty. But Najib did not panic. He stayed cool. And even more important is the fact that his Boffin Boys remained cool and planned their strategies and stayed one or two steps ahead of Mahathir and his ANC.

Najib knows what Donald Trump knows. And that is the media is corrupt, can be bribed, is never neutral, and will take sides and serve their masters who pay their salaries. So why try to fight those journalists and bloggers who are on a crusade to bring down the Prime Minister and the Umno-led Barisan Nasional and replace the government with the DAP-led Pakatan Harapan?

Najib knows what Donald Trump knows. And that is the media and warlords can be against you but in the end the voters decide who gets to form the government and lead the country. Today, Trump proved that the people will decide if they want him as the 45th President of the United States. And in the next general election the people will also decide whether they want Najib as the Prime Minister and an Umno-led Barisan Nasional as the government of Malaysia.

So, why be so stupid as to fight the media when the journalists and bloggers have been bribed to conduct a crusade against you? It is the voters who are going to decide your fate, not Sarawak Report, Malaysiakini, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, or whatever. So, while the opposition wasted so much time since 2014 on their 1MDB campaign, Najib spent all that time making sure that when the next general election is held, Umno-Barisan Nasional and not DAP-Pakatan Harapan is going to win the election.

Mahathir, his ANC, and the DAP-led Pakatan Harapan, have been psyched by their own propaganda. And this is very dangerous. Once you start believing your own lies you are destined to fail. And this is the trouble with Mahathir and the opposition. They tell so many lies and do is so often that they started believing their own lies.

No, Najib is not going to fall. 1MDB is not going bankrupt. Malaysia is not going bankrupt. The US is not going to send its army to Putrajaya to kidnap Najib and bring him back to America to be jailed, like they did Noriega. In fact, the new US government is going to say that Najib was being unfairly persecuted by the media — which had been bribed and which had been financed by people like George Soros who since 1995 had been behind Anwar Ibrahim and who were plotting to topple Mahathir and replace him with Anwar.

In 1998, Suharto of Indonesia and Mahathir of Malaysia were both supposed to fall. However, while Suharto did fall in May 1998, Mahathir fought back and, three months later, Anwar fell instead. And Mahathir knew that Soros and the IMF were backing Anwar in his bid to take over as Prime Minister. And that was why Mahathir did not want to have anything to do with the IMF and accused both the IMF and Soros of trying to ‘colonise’ Malaysia.

Mahathir and his ANC were hoping that Hillary Clinton would win the US Presidency. Then they can keep this DoJ issue alive. But now that Donald Trump has won instead, there goes their US campaign to create the perception that Najib is a dead man walking.

Oh, by the way, a little bird told me that the letter below was prepared yesterday in anticipation of Trump winning the US Presidency today. And that is the difference between Najib’s Boffin Boys and Mahathir’s Keystone Cops. Najib’s boys know what they are doing while Mahathir boys blunder every step of the way.

Now you know why in February 2015 when I was asked to decide whether to join Mahathir’s team or Najib’s team I chose Najib’s team. It is just that I detest working with idiots and enjoy working with brilliant people. I mean, only idiots would enjoy working with idiots. And I would like to believe that I am brilliant and not an idiot.
