New 'anti-corruption' party seeks to take down Najib, Johari

A new opposition party is in the works with the single objective of fighting corruption.
The party - mooted by former PKR Youth chief Ezam Mohd Noor yesterday - has two targets, according to former Umno man Khairuddin Abu Hassan.
"We only have two demands from Pakatan Harapan. Ezam wants to fight Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak in Pekan (in the next general election).
"And I want to fight (Second Finance Minister) Johari Abdul Ghani. We want to fight the finance ministers," Khairuddin told Malaysiakini
This he said, is in-line with their objective of fighting corruption.
Najib has been accused of misappropriating billions of 1MDB funds, a charge he vehemently denies.
Khairuddin said Najib was the most corrupt person there is, while Johari had allegedly collaborated to covered up such corruption.
Reports that Ezam was mulling a new party surfaced yesterday, after which Khairuddin issued a statement voicing his support for the idea.

Khairuddin said the two had met yesterday to discuss the party.
The former Batu Kawan Umno vice chief added that they had no intention of fighting Harapan and wanted to be part of the coalition.
He said they plan to have a sit down with Harapan leaders sometime next week to explain why they want to set up a new party.
Both Khairuddin and Ezam had briefly been members of Umno splinter group Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu). - Mkini
