Jamal wants to have teh tarik with Rafizi and thank him

Sungai Besar Umno division chief Jamal Md Yunos wants to have teh tarik and roti canai with PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli, for Rafizi's "flattering remarks" about him.
Jamal said he wanted to thank Rafizi personally for stating that the Jamal was qualified to lead Umno Youth. Rafizi also offered himself as Jamal's campaign manager.
"I want to thank Rafizi. Because of his offer, I want to treat him to teh tarik and roti canai to show my appreciation.
"If he is serious, then so am I. Whenever he is free, I can go over to Pandan and we can have a meal," Jamal told Malaysiakini.
Rafizi had praised Jamal for being "brave". The PKR leader also said Jamal would probably be brave enough to participate in a debate to defend Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
"Jamal is brave enough to wear towels (in public). To me, if Jamal becomes the Umno Youth chief, should Najib be attacked and we call for a debate, Jamal would dare step up," Rafizi had said.
Jamal looks up to KJ
Jamal said he would compete for the Umno Youth chief position if he was not fielded as a candidate during the next general election.
Although he is the Sungai Besar Umno division head, Jamal said it was likely that BN would not field him for the Sungai Besar parliamentary seat, nor the Sungai Panjang and Sekinchan state seats, which are under his purview.
On his meeting with Umno supreme council member Nazri Abdul Aziz yesterday, Jamal said Nazri had expressed support for his Umno Youth chief bid.
"He (Nazri) asked whether I was serious. I said that I was serious and was not playing around.
"If I'm serious, he (Nazri) said that he would support me," Jamal claimed.
Asked on his relationship with Khairy, Jamal said he looked up to him as the minister has his own unique characteristics.

"I'm offering to become the Umno Youth chief if he does not seek re-election."
Meanwhile, Umno Youth exco member Armand Azha Abu Hanifah welcomed Jamal's intention to throw his hat in the ring.
"There is nothing wrong for Jamal to contest for the post if it is vacated by Khairy," Armand said.
Umno Youth vice-president Khairul Azwan Harun, on the other hand, replied with a curt "no comment" when asked for his response on the matter. Khairul Azwan is a known Khairy backer.- Mkini
