Najib wants football-like teamwork for GE14, tackles DAP again

Using football analogies, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak stressed the importance of teamwork in the upcoming 14th general election.
He cited Malaysia's 3-1 victory against Myanmar in Sea Games 2017 last night as an example and pointed out that "accurate passes" resulted in goals.
"But when Myanmar scored, it was because someone made a mistake, he made a back pass that didn't work out, it fell to the rivals.
"This means when there is sabotage our team will lose.
"This is a reminder... Don't sabotage and if we work together, InsyaAllah, we can win GE14,” he said in Kuala Lumpur this evening.
Meanwhile, Najib, who was addressing a gathering of village development and safety committees from across the country, tackled DAP once again.
He claimed that the predominantly-Chinese party was the true power behind Pakatan Harapan.
"Don't be fooled by incitement from the other side.
"If they win, the ones that will be the dominant power is not the faces they portray, but it is DAP who will have absolute power.
"DAP will not prioritise the rural communities," he added.
This was reminiscent of his speech at the Umno general assembly last year, where he warned that Malays and Muslims would have their privileges stripped if the opposition won the next election, as DAP would be controlling them.

Today's offensive appears to be aimed at the current Pakatan Harapan leadership line-up.
The top three Harapan leaders come from PKR and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), with Dr Mahathir Mohamad as chairperson.
The highest position DAP holds in the coalition meanwhile is one of Harapan's three deputy presidencies, alongside Bersatu and Amanah. - Mkini
