Stop dreaming, MIC Youth tells off 'stuntman' Waytha

"Stuntman" Waythamoorthy should stop "day dreaming" about winning Indian support in the next general election, MIC Youth chief R Sivarraajh said.
In a statement today, Sivarraajh listed down the Persatuan Hindraf Malaysia (PHM) chief's "political stunts" since the Hindraf movement staged a mass rally in November 2007, to argue why Waythamoorthy's political ambitions would fail.
After the Hindraf rally, Waythamoorthy left for London, leaving his comrades to be detained under the ISA, only to return home after a few years to a fractured movement, he noted.
"Initially, Waytha's numerous attempts to join the opposition coalition in 2013 failed to materialise.
"His frustration then led him to engage in a last-minute handshake with Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, before the 13th general election," Sivarraajh (photo) said.
The prime minister then gave Waytha a chance to prove his conviction and even gave him a deputy minister's post, only for the latter to forsake the trust given and continued to criticise the government, he added.
"Now, Waytha is making another U-turn to join the opposition pact via Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
"This is a laughing stock as it is Waytha who had condemned Umno policies under Mahathir when he co-founded Hindraf. Today, Waytha has proved that he has had a long hidden ambition to become a politician, rather than being a human rights activist."
Sivarraajh then claimed Waytha used Indians and the Hindraf movement as the launching pad to propel himself to become a politician.
Does Hindraf still matter?
"Waytha should stop day dreaming, as he will fail to get any Indian support.
"Indians don't trust him anymore and they have lost faith in Hindraf. His (Waytha's) true colours have shown and people have started to realise that he is only going after his political ambition," said Sivarraajh.

According to him, MIC had been working hard since the last general election to address the problems faced by the Indian community and the Malaysian Indian Blueprint has given a better engagement and brought about changes in the community.
"Over the years, PWM has only been good in one thing - giving statements and condemning others. Waytha has failed to deliver anything concrete for the Indian community and they will show him the door during the forthcoming GE14."
Yesterday, Waythamoorthy met Pakatan Harapan chairperson Mahathir to discussa possible election pact for the coming general election. - Mkini
