KUALA LUMPUR: Six government officers were sacked between 2015 and 2017 out of a total of 47 sexual harassment reports involving the civil servants.
The women, family and community development ministry said warning letters were issued to 20 of them, while four were fined and six were slapped with salary cuts. Another nine had their revised pay postponed.
“From the feedback we get, many in the civil service are unaware of the guidelines when they are sexually harassed,” deputy minister Hannah Yeoh told the Dewan Rakyat today, responding to a question by Siti Zailah Muhd Yusoff (PAS-Rantau Panjang). - FMT
