PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said today his party will consider sending a representative to attend the Umno annual general assembly if it is invited.
"To date, we have not received any invitation. If we are invited, we will convene a meeting to consider it.
"For us, there is a likelihood that PAS will send a representative to attend the Umno general assembly," he told journalists after a discussion session between PAS and Christian leaders in Ampang today.
The main body of the Umno general assembly this year is expected to take place on Sept 29 and 30 at Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
Meanwhile, PAS information chief Nasrudin Hassan said his party may also invite Umno representatives to its Sept 14. muktamar in Terengganu.
During the muktamar, Nasrudin said, PAS is also expected to discuss the issue of cooperation with Umno.
"The grassroots do not have a problem with it as it is an effort to unite Muslims, it is a noble effort.
"We do not want Malays and Muslims to bicker due to party differences," he added. - Mkini
