ENTREPRENEUR Development Minister Redzuan Md Yusof has rubbished the suggestion that because DAP is a part of the Pakatan Harapan coalition, Malay rights are under threat.
He said that failures with Tabung Haji and Felda were the fault of the Malays themselves and not DAP, Malay daily Utusan Malaysia reported him as saying today.

“Almost all the big companies that involve Malay-Muslims have problems caused by us alone.
“We cannot blame another race for our own failure to do what is right,” he said.
He said that the weaknesses of today’s government concerned policy and implementation.
“In the past, we had problems with leakages in the government; now, we have a bureaucracy problem. We need to solve this,” he said.
Yesterday, Bersatu Negri Sembilan chief Rais Yatim had said that Pakatan Harapan must counter the negative perception that Malay voters have towards DAP by tempering its “impulsive” actions and statements.
Rais said rural Malay voters’ distrust of DAP had reached the same level as the corruption scandals involving Umno leaders.
He said DAP’s image needed to be softened to appeal to the Malay electorate.
“The Malays in Semenyih reject the impulsive actions of DAP. The homework PH must work seriously on now is to soften DAP’s image so that racial sentiments and impulsive actions in their statements can be tampered.
“Because of the strong emotions and sentiments of the Malays towards DAP, even the charges against (former prime minister) Najib (Razak) has not gotten much attention. It’s seen as a non-issue,” Rais had said.
