The cabinet will decide whether to make public the report prepared by the Council of Eminent Persons (CEP), says Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
As Wan Azizah told reporters at KL Sentral today, she will discuss the matter with the Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
"I was made to understand a meeting (will be held) at the cabinet, and the cabinet will decide. And, I am going to speak with the prime minister," she told the press conference.
Wan Azizah was asked if the government would consider revealing the contents of the CEP report, which has been classified under the Official Secrets Act 1972.
Several Pakatan Harapan leaders, including Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali, as well as the CEP's own chairperson Daim Zainuddin and member Jomo Kwame Sundaram have voiced their objections to the report being made a state secret.
