Teo Nie Ching Is Much Cleverer Than Maszlee

Teo Nie Ching is the Deputy Minister of Education. Here is her picture.

The lass doth need a hairbrush

Here is the other guy:

Maszlee is just not competent even for a lecturer's job.
This is getting too obvious.
It is becoming too ridiculous.

I really do not know how Dr Mahathir hopes to salvage the Pakatan Harapan's spiralling image by keeping this obviously incompetent fellow in any job.

His latest statement about the Matriculation quotas makes it sound like the restriction of non Malays into the Matriculation program is a revenge mechanism to be linked to the level of employment / unemployment of Malays  in the private sector.

Maszlee has succesfully made the connection between the price of fish in Somalia and the colour of his underwear.

The Malaysian workforce has about 15 million employed people.
Using 70%  Malay / bumiputra population, lets say 10.5 million are Malay / bumiputras.

Out of this 10.5 million Malay workforce, about 1.6 million work for the government. (Taking the Civil Service as almost 100% Malay).

That leaves another 9.0 million Malay workforce.
Obviously they are employed in the private sector.
Meaning the vast majority of the Malay workforce are employed in the private sector.

Now we all know that ownership of enterprises in the private sector is still monopolised by the non Malays.

So Watson, we can safely say that sizeable numbers of Malays in the private sector are also employed by non Malay companies.

On the other hand the Civil Service is almost 100% Malay/bumiputra.

All the vice chancellors, presidents of the public universities are Malays.
Non Malays are not allowed to be VCs.

The result?
Public university grads are almost unemployble.
The number of unemployed graduates is now more than 100,000.

In contrast many private university graduates are offered jobs BEFORE they graduate. I can name the private universities but I will not. Nanti depa jeles pi batal lesen or something like that.

Felda, Tabung Haji etc are 110% Malay/bumiputra.
Yet they have made losses by the billions of Ringgit.
Now the government wants to use taxpayers funds to bail them out.

Ok and then Maszlee said the Matric seats have been increased from 25,000 to 40,000. 10% or 4,000 will be for non bumis. That is already a whopping 60% jump in the non bumi numbers.

I say brader, why not just drop this quota bullshit and take in all students who qualify?

There are so many half empty government universities.
Just take them in.
Just give everyone who qualifies access to an education.

Kepala hotak setan jenis apa ini that denies students who qualify  based on racial quota?

Maszlee made another stupid statement that the non bumi quota for Matriculation was a 'one off' thing.  It is not.

After the Hindraf protest in 2007, there was a matriculation quota given to the Indians.

Out of 25,000 seats the Indians were given around 2500.

Then under the Pakatan Harapan, Chinese were also allotted 1000 seats.

But this year the Chinese quota went up to 53% of the 2500 which is 1,325 seats.

Here are some numbers:

Total Indian Student Applied : 5036

Total Eligible : 3617
Total Offered : 728

In 2018 Indians offered 2200 seats
Total taken up was 1700. ( Some rejected offer).

The reason for many applicant to fail is because :

60% is taken from B40 and only 40% is taken from M40

From total 2500 seats offered to “Non Bumi" allocation, Chinese got 53%,                      Indians 29% and Others 18%.

So last year 1700 Indians were given seats.
This year only 728 Indians were successful.

If you add the 728 Indians and 1,325 Chinese it already adds up to 2,053.

I believe Teo Nie Ching the Deputy Education Minister has full knowledge of this.

Congratulations to the Malay, Chinese, Indian and other students who have been successful. Please use the opportunity to become educated. Unfortunately getting a degree and becoming educated are two different things. N'theless you deserve to be admitted and so do your best.

Just get rid of the quotas.
