Akmal: Hilman is trying to look like he's in charge

PKR Youth chief Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said his deputy Hilman Idham was attempting to create a perception that the latter was in charge of the movement.
Akmal (above) said this when asked to respond to Hilman's claim last night that 132 out of 196 PKR Youth leaders at the division level wanted their national delegates' convention next month officiated by the party deputy president.
"This so-called ‘132'. Ask him to show the numbers (prove it). He just made claims to try and create a perception that he is in charge," said Akmal.
Last night, Hilman convened a meeting in Shah Alam, which he claimed was representative of the PKR Youth central leadership council (MPP).

Akmal pointed out the official PKR Youth MPP meetings are held once a month at the PKR headquarters, where all 49 members are invited.
He said all members receive notification two weeks in advance from the movement's secretary.
He refused to state if any action will be taken against Hilman and instead said those with any grievances should raise it with the party's disciplinary committee.
The rift between Hilman and Akmal became open after the former protested against the PKR Youth MPP's decision to break with the tradition of having the deputy president officiate the wing's annual delegates' convention.
MPP members loyal to Akmal have pointed out that the decision to drop PKR deputy president Azmin Ali as the guest of honour at the convention was only made after the latter ignored a written invitation.
They also pointed out that Hilman and his allies were unaware of this because they were absent from official MPP meetings. - Mkini
