A video purportedly depicting Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu complaining about having to wage a lone battle to protect Malay interests is making the rounds on social media.
“In Perak, I was fighting a desperate lone battle against the 'puak-puak' (tribes) DAP.
“I want to protect the Malay land and champion our religion,” said the person, who resembles the menteri besar, to a group of people during an informal discussion.
“I just did it, slowly. Alhamduillah (thank God)... there (in Perak) my Umno friends did not scold me like this,” he added.
Malaysiakini is contacting Azumu and other Pakatan Harapan Perak leaders for comment.
