KOTA BARU: 10 members from one family are the latest Covid-19 cases in Kelantan, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 197.
The 10 tested positive between Nov 7 and yesterday, and are potentially part of the new Kube cluster announced by the Health Ministry today.
The state health department in a statement said nine of them were infected from a relative - a man in his 50s (state case 186).
"All of them are from Kota Baru and Kubang Kerian and are currently warded at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital and the Tumpat Hospital," read the statement.
The statement also stated four districts have been placed under yellow zones in Kelantan. They are Tanah Merah, Jeli, Machang and Kota Baru.
It is learnt that the state health department has started to trace the close contacts of all 10.
"Apart from that, the state health officers will continue to carry out screening tests against those with Covid-19 symptoms." - NST
