Made from chopped meat and stuffed into cow intestines, the delicacy is sold by a Cambodian family at the village.

The seller Atinaza Rizal, 30, said she and her family started selling 'tongmo' three years ago at their home but later decided to open a stall near the main road to cater to increasing demands.

"Before this, we only sold 'tongmo' via online and sometimes people would come to our house to buy directly.

"However, as it gained more popularity among local Kelantanese, we juat had to to open a stall to better serve the customers.

"I've had my hands full last year and could not cope with the demands. This prompted us to hire more workers who are mostly relatives," said the mother of four who learned the 'tongmo' recipe from her mother.

She said making the sausage was not as easy as many might have thought as it required special traditional recipe.

Atinaza said she could sell between 50kg to 60kg of tongmo a day. A set of four tongmo pieces is about RM10.
