At a press briefing today, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said four new clusters have been classified. The total number of active clusters is currently 176 of which 47 saw new cases.

Tapak Bina Puteh Lama is the new cluster with the most cases (139). It involved a construction site in the Lembah Pantai district in Kuala Lumpur.

The Jalan Haruan cluster had 118 cases, mostly involving foreigners working at a factory. The Health Ministry said this cluster involved the Seremban district. From the name, it would suggest that this factory is located in Seremban 2.

The Jalan Tuaran cluster had 43 cases. This cluster involved the Kota Kinabalu, Penampang and Tuaran districts in Sabah. The new cases were detected during screening at an unspecified workplace.

The Beringin cluster had 37 cases. This cluster involved two factories in Penang. Affected districts are the North East, Southwest, Seberang Perai Selatan and Seberang Perai Tengah.

The index case was diagnosed with Covid-19 on Nov 19 after complaining of symptoms.

The ministry did not provide figures for the country and Sabah's capacity to perform RT-PCR tests and number of tests performed yesterday, possibly due to an oversight.

Testing figures over the past four weeks are mostly stable, with the number of test conducted amounting roughly half of the national capacity and slightly overcapacity in Sabah.
