The Kedah government today announced a RM1,000 special financial assistance for civil servants in the state as well as a RM200 one-off contribution for state Health Department frontliners.
Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, when tabling the 2021 State Budget in the state legislative assembly said the payment of the special financial assistance, which involves an allocation of RM5.6 million, will be made next month.
"The payment for Kedah Health Department frontliners, in recognition of their service and dedication, will be credited to the recipient's account at the end of this year," he said.
He added that the state government appreciated the hard work put in by the civil servants who were always committed in implementing all policies and instructions.
This included the managing of the Disaster Operation Control Centre during the Covid-19 pandemic, channelling aid to those in need and carrying out development projects planned for 2020.
Muhammad Sanusi said thoughts and views from various experts were also welcomed for the development and well-being of the state.
