COVID-19 | Health Minister Dr Adham Baba has been placed under home quarantine after coming into close contact with a Covid-19 patient.
In a Facebook post, Adham said the patient was a private media practitioner who was at his office last Saturday and has since tested positive.
Malaysiakini understands that this was not a journalist.
Adham said he will be in quarantine until Dec 18, and that he will work from home throughout that period.
In his post, Adham emphasised that all citizens should comply with quarantine instructions.
"No one is exempt from complying with any order issued by the authorities involving the prevention or treatment of Covid-19.
"Hopefully we can all play a role in dealing with and fighting the pandemic.
"I will work from home and this includes holding meetings and discussions through virtual conferences," said Adham.
As of Dec 9, Malaysia has recorded 393 fatalities from Covid-19 from 76,265 cases.
Of those cases, 10,748 are currently being treated while 65,124 have been discharged. - Mkini
