The Health Ministry reported 2,068 new cases of Covid-19 as of noon today.
Almost 60 percent of cases were in the Klang Valley.
About 45 percent of the cases in Selangor were from "other screenings".
Leading indicators:
- Active cases: 23,433 ↓ (165 fewer than the previous day, sixth consecutive day of new records)
- Patients in ICU: 126 ↓ (Five fewer from the previous day, record-high)
- Intubated patients: 54 ↓ (TSix fewer than the previous day)
- Deaths: 3

The fatalities bring the national death toll to 474.
All the deceased were Malaysians from the peninsula. Their details are as follows:
Patient 87,659: Malaysian male, 69, died at the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital, Seremban. Had a history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and dyslipidemia.
Patient 98,014: Malaysian male, 94, died at the Sungai Buloh Hospital. Had a history of diabetes, hypertension, dementia, and bronchiectasis.
Patient 112,093: Malaysian female, 58, died at the Sungai Buloh Hospital. Had a history of diabetes, hypertension, heart and kidney diseases.

According to Selangor Health Department figures, 290 of the 351 "other screenings" were from workplace screenings not linked to clusters.
There were also five cases detected through pre-employment screenings and another five cases through surveillance of healthcare workers.
Meanwhile, 53 cases were people who had sought testing after developing symptoms and another three were tested positive after developing a severe acute respiratory infection.
There were three people who tested positive before hospital admission, one through pre-surgery screening, and two post-mortem screenings.
There was also one case detected through pre-flight screening.

Meanwhile, Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a statement that there were three new clusters.
The Rawa Akasia cluster in Timur Laut, Barat Daya, Seberang Perang Tengah and Selatan in Penang has 117 cases to date. The index case tested positive on Dec 24 through screening for those with symptoms.
The Jalan Perindustrian cluster in Kulai, Johor has 20 positive cases to date. The index case tested positive on Dec 28 through workplace screening.
The Rantau Semarak cluster in Maran, Pahang, and Gombak, Selangor has 18 positive cases thus far. The index case tested positive on Dec 28 through screening for those with symptoms. - Mkini
