GEORGE TOWN: An accident involving an overturned car on Penang Bridge from the island heading towards the mainland has led to a major traffic jam in both directions.
All three lanes from the island to the mainland were temporarily blocked, as rescuers tried to extricate the victim and passers-by helped to turn the car over at about 7.10pm Saturday (April 10).
Traffic along the bridge from the mainland towards the island is also heavy following the accident.
Details of the victims involved have yet to be confirmed. - Star
