LAHAD DATU: The Sabah East Coast Security Command (Esscom) today released a new list of five wanted suspects.
They are Ahadin Hussein; Ellam Sajirin @ Nasirin; Ismurah Jirah; Madjid Said @ Ammah Pattit; and Mudzrimar @ Mundi Sawadjaan.
Esscom Commander deputy commissioner Hamzah Ahmad said Ahadin, Ellam and Ismurah were suspected of acting as hostage keepers and were involved in the kidnapping case off Tambisan waters.
Madjid is the most senior head of the Sulu-based Daulah Islamiah (DI) group and serves as the commander of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) and a sub leader who will replace Hatib Hajan Sawadjaan.
"Mudzrimar is a nephew of Hatib Hajan Sawadjaan and sub leader in ASG and has expertise in making bombs.
"In fact, this individual was the blast planner for the incident at 'The Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Cathedral Jolo' on Jan 27, 2020 and another incident in Jolo on Aug 24, 2020," he said in a media statement today.
Others in the Wanted List are Salip Mura; Al Munjir Yadah; Ben Tatoh Quirino; Basaron Arok; Mujimar Sawadjaan; Rasad; Marajan @ Manajan Asiri; Jul Aksan Abdurajan @ Halimaw and Jul @ Jun Hasan. - NST
