PAS Youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has been appointed as Perikatan Nasional Youth chief, replacing Khairil Nizam Khirudin, who did not seek to defend his position as PAS Youth chief in the party election three months ago.
In a statement today, PN secretary-general Hamzah Zainuddin said this was decided in the PN Supreme Council meeting on Jan 26.
"The Supreme Council has unanimously agreed to appoint Fadli, who is also Pasir Mas MP as the coalition Youth wing chief," said Hamzah.
Fadli, 41, was elected as the new PAS Youth chief in the party election in October 2021.
Meanwhile, Hamzah said PN also arrived at a consensus in appointing Bersatu's Bemban state assemblyperson Dr Mohd Yadzil Yaakub as Malacca PN chief with immediate effect.
Yadzil is also the Malacca Bersatu chairperson and Jasin division chief.
"We discussed in-depth on the current political situation, especially related to the readiness of the party machinery to face the upcoming Johor state election," he said. - Mkini
