COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 2,867 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.
The number of new daily cases has not been this high since May 13.
Active cases currently stood at 29,434, up 14.9 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Selangor (881)
Negeri Sembilan (168)
Sabah (154)
Perak (143)
Penang (119)
Malacca (95)
Johor (79)
Putrajaya (72)
Sarawak (68)
Kedah (63)
Pahang (50)
Terengganu (25)
Kelantan (17)
Labuan (17)
Perlis (10)
Another two deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, both in Selangor.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,765 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
For comparison, there were 89 deaths last month and 129 deaths in May.
There are 1,249 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 43 are in intensive care.
There were 551 Covid-19 related admissions yesterday, the highest since May 18. The number of Covid-19 patients requiring intensive care has been trending up as well over the past week.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (178) followed by Johor (92) and Sabah (80). - Mkini
