The Conference of Rulers strongly condemns any form of violence, oppression and cruelty of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people; especially if it involves deaths, especially women and children.
The Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal Syed Danial Syed Ahmad said the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which has been going on since Oct 7, was discussed at the pre-meeting session of the 262nd meeting of the Conference of Rulers at the Istana Negara yesterday.
Syed Danial said the Conference of Rulers also expressed disappointment as the international community and the world’s major powers have not reached a consensus on finding a solution to stop the conflict.
“Following that, the rulers urge the Malaysian government to continue to speak out in defence of the Palestinian people, and protest the continued oppression and tyranny of the Zionist regime of Israel at the international stage, on humanitarian responsibilities,” he said in a statement.
Syed Danial said that at the pre-meeting session, the rulers also expressed support and stood firm with the government's stance over the years, that the Palestinian people must be given back the right to freedom from the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine.
“… the right to return the land seized by Israel and the right to form an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as the capital, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque will remain as a place of worship for Muslims,” he said.
Syed Danial also said rulers urged the government to continue to take initiatives and proactive measures on the international stage to find a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
He added that the monarchs also called on the people to continue to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and extend any form of humanitarian aid to ease their burden and suffering.
Syed Danial said that people, regardless of race and religion, are called to pray according to their faiths for the latest Palestinian-Israeli conflict to be stopped immediately.
He added that the rulers also called on mosques and surau, as well as Muslims in their own homes, to continue to hold hajat prayers and doa selamat for peace, to ask for the favour of Allah to protect the Palestinian people.
According to the official website of the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, the 262nd meeting of the Conference of Rulers is held for three days, starting yesterday.
Meanwhile, the 263rd (special) meeting of the Conference of Rulers will be held on Friday. - Bernama
