Sabah PKR announced a leadership revamp, confirming Sepanggar MP Mustapha Sakmud as chairperson and Inanam assemblyperson Peto Galim as his deputy.
This follows the announcement last week that the heads and deputies of PKR chapters for Sabah, Pahang, Johor, Terengganu, Kelantan and the Federal Territories have been changed.
Meanwhile, former Sabah chief Sangkar Rasam, who faced a revolt in March, has been appointed to the party’s central leadership council.
Sabah PKR information chief Razeef Rakimin said in a brief statement last night that the revamp was to strengthen the party’s state leadership and as part of the party’s preparation for the looming Sabah state election.
He added that the three new state vice-presidents are Azmi Datu Tamboyong, Raymond Ahuar and Roslan Sapar, while Sazalye Donol was elected secretary.
“Peto Galim will lead the State Election Committee while Mustapha (above) will act as the strategic director,” he said.
