POKOK SENA: Lembaga Tabung Haji will announce the cost of performing the haj next year tomorrow.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar confirmed today that the announcement would be made during an event at MenaraTH in Kuala Lumpur in the morning.
The announcement is expected to provide clarity for those planning to perform the haj on whether the cost will remain the same or otherwise.
"Insyaallah, tomorrow morning, Tabung Haji Armada chief executive officer will announce the haj cost for 2025.
"Offer letters will follow after 12 noon," he said during a press conference after attending a flood relief mission programme here today.
Yesterday, Na'im said TH is expected to begin sending offer letters to selected pilgrims for the 1446H/2025M haj season on Monday.
Commenting on the flood relief mission, Na'im said RM829,232 in aid—comprising RM572,000 cash and RM257,232 in goods—had been distributed to those affected by the floods.
"Cash contributions were given to Islamic religious and educational institutions, including RM40,000 for two mosques, RM80,000 for 13 'pondok' schools, RM200,000 for a Sekolah Agama Rakyat and RM50,000 for a 'Maahad Tahfiz'.
"Additionally, RM202,000 in cash was distributed to residents impacted by the floods. We are also gathering information on Islamic institutions nationwide affected by the floods," he added. - NST
