KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), in collaboration with several enforcement agencies, has taken action to shut down a construction site in the Wangsa Maju parliamentary constituency following a coordinated inspection operation.
In a post on its official Facebook page, DBKL said that the joint operation involved the police, the Fire and Rescue Department, the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), and the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (SWCorp), and targeted two separate construction sites.
Following inspections, six compound offer notices were issued to the contractors concerned for various offences. Enforcement was carried out under the Destruction of Disease-Bearing Insects Act 1975 and the Construction Industry Development Board Act 1994.
DBKL said that it would continue enforcement and monitoring efforts on a regular basis to ensure safety, health, and regulatory compliance across construction sites in the city. - NST
