He Had A Snowball's Chance In Hell Of Winning

RULE NO 1 - NO NAMES

While the world was sleeping the new German Reichs-Kansellor has imposed permanent sanctions against the Nordstream gas pipeline. The strange thing is Germany is a substantial shareholder in the Nordstream pipeline, Nordstream 2 runs through Germany  and the operations of the entire Nordstream gas pipeline are largely governed by German law. (This is from Alexander Mercouris). They sanctioned their own gas pipeline? And we thought the Germans were a very clever people.

In the meantime world oil prices are still around the US$61 per barrel range. This is very, very bad for oil producers who have prepared their national budgets based on US$70 per barrel of oil.

But will our pump prices go down?  They will not be going down? Why not?  Oil prices have basically crashed since April 2, 2025 (after Donald Trump announced the US tariffs).

By the way the US is going ahead with a 50% tariff regime against the European Union. Do you seriously think that the US will impose "only" 24% tariff against Malaysia? Shall we all just wait, hold our breath, keep our fingers crossed and pray TZA will come through - by July 8th (45 days left) ?

Sounds like a new airline doesnt it? TZA. Wow!

Anyway here is a rendition of an image by Chat Gpt. In the 'old days' we would call it an artist's impression.  This is only an AI image generation ok. Jangan marah tau. It is not a real picture. It is for illustrative purposes only.

Any resemblance to any person real or imagined is solely the result of ChatGpt.

But here is a point to ponder. Can a person with this haircut or hairstyle walk into North Korea and say 'I would like to run for the position of secretary general of the party. I have got the haircut. I have what it takes'.  Obviously this is bergurau saja, but what do you think folks? What would be his chances?

Well I think he still has some chance in North Korea. The fact is (because the results have already been announced last night) he will have a better chance in North Korea than running for say a top post of some party which has just elected someone else for its top posts. Too late. Those positions have been taken.

He was once sentenced to jail - for the perjuangan parti kita.  '..jailed 30 months for breaching Bafia'.

He endured all that for his perjuangan. He really believed in his party, especially in its leader. He also ran for Parliament and won and then (despite the jail sentence) successfully defended his Parliamentary seat. An accomplishment, by any measure.

In complete contrast the other candidate had lost her parliamentary seat - in her 'family stronghold'. She was almost an anathema (intensely disliked) to the constituents. They are just not popular anymore. Yet she is now in the penultimate position.

So at the end of the day the haircut will not get you anywhere. If you want to be the leader of North Korea, you must be a 'Kim'. No Kim, no come.

  • What will happen to the party now?
  • I dont know.
  • Which is not a good answer.
  • Your guess is as good as mine.
  • Which is also not a good answer.
