No they were not.
Here is General (Retd) GD Bakshi again about the Indo-Pak hostilities.
A couple of points. The Indian strike took place a little after midnight (Delhi time) into Wednesday, May 7th 2025. The ceasefire came into being 5 PM local time (Delhi) on Saturday 10th May, 2025. That is a duration of approx. 3 days and 17 hours.
The other point is that Gen Bakshi says the Brahmos cruise missile was fired - making this the first combat outing for the Brahmos. (However I cant find 'official' references that the Brahmos was used. So lets see if more info becomes available).
The Brahmos (like the British Storm Shadow) carries a warhead of about 350 - 450 kg size. That is not sufficient to be a 'bunker buster' that can penetrate underground installations. But it can cause serious damage to above ground targets.
The Indians also dropped the French made Hammer glide bomb which has a rocket motor and a range of 70 km. The payload is 340 kg.
The views expressed are those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect those of MMKtT.
