PAS appoints Annuar as Sabah election director

 

PAS has appointed its central committee member Annuar Musa as the party's Sabah election director.

In a Facebook post, the former Ketereh MP said he received the appointment letter from party president Abdul Hadi Awang at the PAS headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.

“I sincerely accept this trust, and will serve the party the best I can by holding fast to the responsibility of empowering the struggle of the Malays and Muslims in a multi-racial and multi-religious country.

"I’m grateful that PAS is steadfast in fighting on the basis of Islamic principles for all races and nations. PAS also continues to lead with the spirit of unity and togetherness,” Annuar (above) said.

On Oct 6, Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor announced the dissolution of the state legislative assembly, paving the way for the 17th state election.

‘For a better Malaysia’

Meanwhile, Annuar also accepted the appointment as the PAS election department deputy director-general and the party's election and training committee deputy chairperson.

"As the biggest single party in parliament today, I hope and invite all Muslims, in particular, and the people in general to unite and stand firm with PAS in fighting for a better Malaysia, God willing,” the Muafakat Nasional chairperson said.

Prior to joining PAS, he was a member of Umno and had been its secretary-general as well as a supreme council member. - Mkini
